Bit of a niche proposition: this is for people with high-end PCs who want to run HDR games at high frame rates in low-light conditions. Doing that, it is undeniably impressive and a big upgrade from IPS. Brightness is OK for SDR desktop - about 40% of my IPS Ultragear I would say, but you wouldn't want to use it much for that because text clarity is not good. I have all the pixel care features turned on and find those completely unobtrusive and a non-issue. Looks and feels good on a monitor arm and is mercifully free from gamer-bling. RGB at the back is actually quite useful to manage lighting in the evenings. Shipped in September with the updated firmware so you don't have to worry about that. Panel was perfect and works fine - as I would expect from LG

I was in two minds about getting this monitor. Did a lot of research prior to the purchase, but once I took the jump and ordered it and set it up once it got here - this monitor is amazing. Next to one of my other monitors (which is a good one itself) the colours and overall look on this LG monitor are totally noticeable. The blacks really are black. Everything running through it looks great. I cannot fault this monitor. if you, like me, are thinking about getting one just do it! You won't regret it.

Overclockers fantastic service as always…..This is a good monitor but LG do not help themselves here. The out of box experience is not great. The first thing everyone needs to do is update the firmware . Without the firmware update the monitor in many games will divert to 120hz in full screen mode locking you out of 240hz . The update fixes that and some other bugs, then you will need to colour calibrate as it is to blue out the box. It’s not difficult you can either use LG’s own calibration tool (another download) or there are plenty of videos on YouTube giving the accurate colour settings ……LG needs to do better on this front and do the legwork before shipping ….But once you’ve done all that man is it good! The HDR is fantastic you can’t beat those OLED blacks. The picture in motion is fantastic, the response time is incredible. Also recommend running windows HDR calibration tool if you are on windows 11. No it isn’t the brightest monitor you have to curb your expectations on that front and it will depend on how much daylight is in your room if using a lot in the daytime as to whether it’s right for you. But used in a dimly lit room or in the evening it’s great! Also use PS5 on the monitor and it now looks and runs great, VRR and 120hz as well as HDR!
