Extremely powerful cpu in stock set up. with a very simple overclock got it's 8 fastest cores running 5.8ghz. with 8 slower cores hitting 4.6ghz. I could very easily took to 6ghz on fastest, but at 5.8ghz I was fitting max thermals my water loop could handle safely under full load hitting 81c. This was a upgrade from a i9 9900k that maxed at 5.3ghz thermally. And what a upgrade the i7 13700k is a total powerhouse at a relatively cheap price
I have been running this CPU for 6 weeks or so after upgrading from a i7 9700k. It is very power hungry for gaming. It's drawing between 60-80 watts extra from the 9700k. 173 watts gaming at 165 hz at 2k with a 4070 ti. It draws almost as much as the GPU!!!!
This thing runs like a rocket and stays at around 38 degrees when water cooled. Lovely to see 16 cores running under task manager!!!
