Originally received a defective psu which had a loud continual clicking noise and only lasted a few cycles before it stopped powering on at all.
RMA'd and now received a perfect unit which is almost inaudible at load and while idle. 5 stars from me if you receive a good unit - however I would be wary of BeQuiet's quality control on this line. I've seen a lot of complaints online about this type of issue

Constant loud clicking noise that sounds like a car idling at a set of traffic lights - or a really old and broken hard drive
This WOULD be an impressive power supply...

Unfortunately this power supply falls short. It could very easily be the perfect power supply, but I personally had some problems.
The first issue I noticed was that this power supply does not have a fan stop mode - not an issue in itself, I knew this when purchasing. This would have been completely fine if the fan was actually silent at low RPMs (like the rest of their stand-alone fans), but it's not. It emits an awful "rrrrr" noise which is audible if you have a quiet system in a quiet room. I'm not sure if this is a bad batch or if it's simply the design of the fan - either way, it's not acceptable on a unit which costs £230 and comes from a company named "be quiet!"
The second issue only came to light after I swapped this for another brand - whenever I turned my system on at the wall, it would start booting up without even pressing the power button. Originally I thought this may have been a BIOS setting or another quirk with the system, but the other brand I switched to did not show this behaviour, leading me to believe that the power supply is at fault.
These kinds of issues are not something you want to see on a premium power supply like this. If these two issues were fixed, then this would definitely be an excellent unit for any system, but unfortunately (and unexpectedly) it fell short.
If you are looking into buying a Dark Power 13, I urge you to look elsewhere if the above issues matter to you.
