Only PSU that fits the Xikii FF04 build and does the job nicely
I chose the Asus 850W SFX-L Power Supply Unit for my first PC build, and it has fitted perfectly into my SFF (Small Form Factor), Fractal Terra case. I chose this PSU for a few key reasons. Firstly, it was 850W, which gave me the headroom I wanted to feel comfortable. 750W was probably enough, but this way, I know I've definitely got enough, with some growth room in the future if/when I upgrade some parts. Secondly, it's advertised as quiet. And it is. The CPU fan is giving me some noise, but this PSU is inaudible. Thirdly, it's Platinum. Gaming PCs draw a lot of watts, and energy prices are rising, so having Platinum helps keep the ongoing costs down. Finally, because it was an SFF build, I debated which PSU would give me the best cables. Other similar PSUs have some feedback that the cables are long and stiff. These cables were a little bit longer than I needed, but they're very bendy, so I've been able to tuck them away with relative ease. So those are the pros. I can only think of one con. I found getting the cables plugged in a bit nervy. I needed a bit of pressure to get them to 'click on', and I didn't want to push too hard and break the Motherboard and Graphics card. In the end, it was fine, and I'm sure they're not going to fall off! So overall, very happy. It has done exactly what it says and fits well into my new PC.
A great looking and very quiet SFX psu, the cables are the most flexible I have ever found which is really useful in SFF builds. It comes with a 12vhpwr cable and a 12vhpwr to 2x8 pin cables so it's good for Nvidia or Amd Gpus.
