The 8Pack Supernova was already a powerhouse, but even the best of the best need upgrades now and then. Introducing the 8Pack Supernova MK2, with at least a 25% uplift in performance on its predecessor. Now armed with an AMD Threadripper CPU and quad-channel memory, this extreme PC utilises an improved architecture enabling increased clock speeds and massive memory bandwidth. Whether you’re rendering at 4K, encoding, or running intensive simulations, the 8Pack Supernova has the phenomenal cosmic power to handle the workload.
One of the key upgrades for the 8Pack Supernova MK2 is the CPU, and its compatible motherboard. This extreme PC is armed with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7980X CPU and ASRock TRX50 WS Motherboard. The AMD TRX50 WS and overclocked Threadripper enable this PC to absolutely smash performance records.
The Ryzen Threadripper 7980X sports an incredible 64 cores and 128 thread count, making it the ultimate CPU for intensive workloads. Naturally, as an 8Pack machine, this powerhouse CPU has been fine-tuned, reaching clock speeds of 4.8GHz on all cores for all workloads. Overall, that is a 30%+ uplift in heavy workloads from overclocking and tuning this CPU. For differing applications, this CPU can be changed to the AMD Threadripper 7970X at 5.0GHz or even upgraded all the way up to the flagship AMD Threadripper PRO 7995WX CPU with 96 cores with a static 4.4GHz overclock.
The ASRock TRX50 board has a monster VRM and active cooling, so it can easily supply 1000W to even the 96 core CPU. All with the VRM remaining cool and outputting stable power.
The other significant upgrade on the 8Pack Supernova MK2 is memory. This extreme PC has 256GB of 4800MHz DDR5 RAM, arranged in a quad-channel configuration. That’s 256GB spread across four 64GB channels. This exponentially increases memory bandwidth available to the CPU at any given time, all whilst maintaining memory speeds and capacities. What’s more, there are configuration options up to 384GB capacities.
The 8Pack Supernova MK2 can be armed with two NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs, facilitating the best in graphical and CUDA performance. Alternatively, you can opt for a singular NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, as even on their own these titan-class graphics cards are veritable powerhouses. Either way, they have been overclocked to the maximum stable speed and come equipped with EK full-cover water blocks. Each card boasts 24GB GDDR6X memory, enabling them to perform highly intensive workloads, across as many monitors you need, at any resolution.
As a second alternative, the 8Pack Supernova MK2 can be equipped with one or two NVIDIA Quadro A6000 GPU, which packs a whopping 48GB of onboard VRAM. In dual card setup, the A6000 can be NVlinked so, given software compatibility, the massive 96GB memory can be pooled and used as one. Perfect for any creative endeavour you throw its way, especially AI, simulation, or rendering. This GPU does not come overclocked, but it still sports a dedicated water block for efficient cooling.
To keep such a powerful computer cool, the 8Pack Supernova MK2 is packed with incredible efficient water-cooling hardware. Formed into a dual custom loop, there are three radiators mounted on the top, front, and bottom of the chassis, whilst hard tubing feeds the red coolant throughout the system. As a result, heat is drawn away from vital components with great efficiency and in a stylish manner. There are even bespoke 8Pack fan grills and branding, for that iconic finish.
The 8Pack Supernova MK2 keeps the same classic red and black aesthetic of its predecessor. The RGB lighting illuminates the hardware with a warm glow, whilst the Pexon braided cables have been colour matched to complement the red, grey, and black tones. The Lian Li D888WX Full Tower case completes the look with its brushed finish and tempered glass window framing the hardware.
As the 8Pack Supernova MK2 is designed for heavy, intensive workloads, it’s only fitting that it has a storage solution to match. In total, there are five drives installed – a mix of lightning-fast SSDs and high-capacity HDDs.
The primary and secondary drives are both 2TB WD SN850 M.2 SSDs, ideal for storing your operating system, applications, programmes, and games. The tertiary drive is a 4TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, ideal to be used as a back-up or scratch drive. Finally, providing you insane capacity for all your files, media, and projects, there are two 14TB Seagate hard drives. In total, the 8Pack Supernova MK2 has a whopping 36TB of storage.
As with every 8Pack system, there are configurable options enabling you to tune the Supernova MK2 to your needs. This extreme PC offers alternatives for the CPU, GPUs, and RAM capacity, as detailed previously. Additionally, cosmetic changes can be made, such as the colour of the liquid coolant or Pexon cables. It should be noted that any changes made to the hardware will affect the performance of the 8Pack Supernova MK2. Additionally, cosmetic changes may incur extra costs and affect the lead time. Due to the complexity of our prestige systems, the minimum lead time for the 8Pack Supernova MK2 is 28 working days.
