These specialist tools are designed primarily for 2012 model iMacs. These models require users to sever adhesive strips in order to open up the device. For that reason, the versatile tool consists of two pieces: the grip is lasered out of durable plastic and encompasses the cutting wheel, thereby giving users a solid and secure grip to hold on to. The specially designed wheel is able to slip in between the narrow gap between the display and its aluminium frame, meaning that users are able to reach the adhesive strips bonding the components together with ease.
